STEVENS   FAMILY

George Stevens, born in Charlton Abbots, Gloucestershire, in 1820 - arrived in Tasmania in 1853 with his wife, Elizabeth, and their 5 children.  George was a stonemason and had worked in Gloucestershire, as well as Canada, before arriving in Australia.

 

Elizabeth Stevens and one of their children, Emma, died soon after their arrival in Hobart.
